Author Guidelines

The published manuscript

The manuscript should be the result of research in biology which includes cell biology, genetics, evolution, taxonomy, biodiversity, structure and function, developmental and reproductive biology, entomology, microbiology, and ecology. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English using Microssoft Office Words format (.doc, .docx) on A4 size paper. Text should be in Arial, 12 point font size, a double  space, left justified, an upper margin of 2.5 cm, right, left and buttom margin of  2 cm each. Unlimited manuscript length but recommended for no more than 10 pages of text, excluding tables, drawings, and other attachments inserted at the end of the manuscript. The tables should  be inserted in the form of drawings. All images and photos are made in jpg or jpeg, at least 300 dpi. The manuscript is sent via OJS Biosfera (http://biosfera.bio.unsoed.ac.id).

Manuscript Content

• The title describes the contents of the manuscript should be brief and clear, written in English and  Indonesian.
• Author List include all authors in the order the names should be published, accompanied by affiliation, address of institution and e-mail of all authors.
• The abstract is written in English and Indonesian, no more than 250 words, containing the objectives, results of the research, conclusions or implications. Five key words are written below the abstract.
• The introduction contains backgrounds, previous relevant studies, gap analysis, and research objectives.
• The method describes the research materials and procedures in detail, as well as methods of data analysis.
• Results and Discussion describe clearly described research results and interpretation of them.
• Tables should be editable in a word document, Figures should be in JPEG format at least 300 dpi. Table and image files are named according to table and picture number. Tables and figures are numbered according to the order in the manuscript and are titled them in a concise and clear in the form of text at the end of the manuscript. Tables are arranged in an open table format.
• The conclusions contain statements  obtained  based on inductive or deductive methods from the results and discussion.
• Acknowledgments are written at the end of the manuscript before the References.
• The References list contains the reference libraries referenced in the manuscript. The writing of bibliography follows the guidelines of Harvard-Anglia bibliography [Visit], primary references at least 80%.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Copyright Notice

Conditions for the Authors are as follows:

a. The author saves the copyright and grants the journal the first right of publishing the manuscript simultaneously under license under the Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with a statement of job authorship and early publication in this journal.

b. The author may incorporate into additional separate contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of rich-issue journals (eg posting them to an institutional repository or publishing them in a book), with the acknowledgment of the original publication in this journal.

c. Penliners are allowed and encouraged to post their work online (eg: in the institutional repository or on their website) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and more powerful cites from published works. (See Open Access Effect).

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 250000.00 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Article Publication: 800000.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
