2014
Scripta Biologica is a peer-reviewed online scientific journal published by Faculty of Biology Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), established in 2014, publishes original research articles in biology. Its founder and editor in chief, Romanus Edy Prabowo, named the journal and designed the journal logo depicted form the initial of the journal name. Scripta Biologica originally was conceived as a solution to one of the problems faced by the Faculty of Biology UNSOED, primarily to publish student research articles as one of the graduation requirements. A full digital text with free online access was selected as the best option using the Online Journal System (OJS) to deliver the research articles.
2016
Scripta Biologica decided to accept manuscript submission from all researchers for the 2016 volume and onward to meet the demand for the excellent scientific papers publishing.
2018
Scripta Biologica changed its web interface main-language into English to get its articles to be more explorable and connected to new readers.
